If you want a peaceful environment for you and your children, food on your table, jobs with some degree of security and dignity, then you're already part of the movement. No need to send money or sign anything or march on Washington with signs, you're in. Congratulations and welcome!
If you persist in the desire to live peacefully, you are already in the Persistence Movement. There is no way to know how old the movement is, probably as old as the human race itself. The movement has transcended all political lunacy in the past and will continue to do so in the future. You will not be contacted by anyone. The movement is decentralized and personal. In all likelihood, you are part of the overwhelming majority of the population of earth. It is recommended that you begin to try to recognize other members of the movement in your daily life and on TV (Should you still own one.). This is found to alleviate the sense of isolation and helplessness you've learned.
You are neither alone nor helpless.
Now, if you begin to feel that because things are so askew that you must become an active member of the movement, the following information is for you.
In order to promote peaceful and just living in the face of violence and injustice the Persistence Movement relies on Gandhi's concept of Satyagraha, and the non-violent-direct-action techniques of Martin Luther King Jr., The Velvet Revolution in the Czech Republic, the Solidarity Movement in Poland, John and Yoko's "Love In's" . Your input is always welcome, too.
"To make justice prevail without oneself committing injustice"
"Satyagraha" is a term that Gandhi used. It encompasses "Truth" and "Justice", unifies them into a single concept. It is the cornerstone of all nonviolent direct action movements.
